DIRECTOR. WRITER.
Georgie is a multi-award winning British-Irish writer & director. Selected for BFI’s Director’s Lab, aimed at directors working towards features, she is a BAFTA Connect Member chosen in “recognition of her contribution to the film industry and her promising career ahead”. Her music videos have amassed millions of views, with her recent videos for Paris Paloma, starring Richard Armitage, Tom Blyth and featuring Emma Thompson.
Her shorts have been commissioned by BBC, Northern Ireland Screen and BFI, screening in competition at OSCAR/ BAFTA qualifying festivals. Her eco-drama short, THE GENERATORS was supported by the BFI, starring Matthew Needham (House of the Dragon) and Rory Fleck Byrne (Dope Girls), screening in competition at Galway Film Fleadh and Belfast Film Festival, winning best Director at Fine Line Film Festival (Serbia) and the IMPACT AWARD at London Breeze Film festival.
Her current work urgently explores climate change, with a focus on inequality in society and engaging audiences with striking, visceral and deeply human narratives that blend history and current science. She has featured on panels with Climate Spring and her sitcom pilot, was shortlisted for Flickers of the Future a competition run by Richard Curtis and BAFTA Albert (2020)
She is currently developing her debut feature.
