DIRECTOR. WRITER.

Georgie is a multi-award winning writer and director. In 2022 she was selected as a BAFTA CONNECT member as writer/director in recognition of her contribution to the film industry and her promising career ahead.

Her films have been recognised globally for their bold and unique vision and screened at BAFTA/ BIFA/ Academy Award qualifying festivals. She has been commissioned by BFI, BBC/ Northern Ireland Screen. Her sitcom pilot, was shortlisted for Flickers of the Future a competition run by Global Action Plan and Richard Curtis. In 2024 she was selected to part of Academy Award Winning Slick Film’s Talent Roster and directs music videos with Blindeye Films.

Her most recent short THE GENERATORS premiered at Academy Award Qualifiying DISFF (Greece) and she received the award for Best Directing at Fine Line Film Festival (Belgrade). The short is supported by BFI NETWORK with NATIONAL LOTTERY funding and produced in a unique creative partnership with KODAK, CINELAB FILM & DIGITAL and GIRLS IN FILM. Starring MATTHEW NEEDHAM (House of the Dragon) and Screen Star of Tomorrow RORY FLECK BYRNE (In Camera, Dope Girls). The short was cast by BIFA award winning casting director DIXIE CHASSAY and LUCY JORDAN (POOR THINGS) and shot by BSC nominated EBBA HULT.

With an MA in film from Queens University Belfast (distinction) and BA in English Literature UCL, she loves to draw on her background in film theory, literature and historical research to create stories that speak to the present with nods to the past. As well as experimenting with editing and colour to make films that feel both raw and beautiful with a focus on visualising the psychology of characters and foregrounding women. She is currently working towards her debut feature.
